B2C online delivery portal Parcel2Go has announced that customers can access the new myHermes Light & Large service exclusively on the Parcel2Go website.

The Light & Large service is available for customers that plan to send low weight but high size parcels. Using the myHermes service through Parcel2Go, customers can send parcels of up to 2 metres in length from a base price of £17.50 + VAT.

According to Parcel2Go: “The myHermes Light & Large service provides the answer to a problem that has plagued the parcel industry for a long time.

“Previously, customers sending larger, lighter parcels were forced to pay the same charges as customers sending much heavier items as carriers’ applied volumetric weight pricing rules.

“This made sending bulky, but light items, like clothing or bedding expensive.”

Many delivery companies have ducked sending bulky but light items. This service answers an unmet need from customers.
