Lorry tolls on the M6 toll road are to go up by £0.20-£0.50, depending on the time of travel.
Midland Expressway, the owners of the M6 toll road are also raising tolls for light goods vehicles by £0.10-£0.50 and for cars, £0.10-£0.30, again dependent on the time of travel.
In addition to the price increases there is to be an off-peak discounted rate for drivers that pass through on Monday-Friday between 05:00-07:00 and 19:00-23:00. This new tariff will be in addition to the daytime and night-time rates in place already.
Midland Expressway chief executive Andy Cliffe said: “Since 2014 we’ve seen a 14 per cent increase in trucks using our road – our prices and the structured deals we offer based on travel frequency have been carefully designed to ensure that the road remains attractive to HGV businesses of all sizes, and that they continue to feel the operational value of using the road.”
