The Matternet M2 autonomous delivery drone has been approved by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to begin durability and reliability testing.
In order to get this certification the delivery drone it had to be deemed airworthy and is also eligible to be used by commercial air carriers.

Matternet has been working with US logistics giant UPS in the United States since August 2018, and has been working with Swiss Post for a similar timeframe.
