Finnish logistics company Nurminen Logistics is divesting its subsidiary Nurminen Heavy Oy to transport company Ville Silvasti Oy. It is divesting the business to focus on core operations and improve service offerings.

Nurminen Logistics will hold the business that used to belong to Nurminen Logistics Heavy and will also retain ownership of the handling hall at Vuosaari Terminal. In return, Ville Silvasti will become the largest special transport services company in Finland.

Nurminen Logistics will focus on improving terminal and value added services as well as forwarding on Finland’s borders and its import – export business. Its core business is in Finland, Russia and the CIS, and is developing overland routes to China.
