Estonian postal and logistics operator Omniva has dismissed the Chairman of the Board, Ansi Arumeel. The decision was made by the Supervisory Board on 24th September.
“The decision to dismiss Ansi Arumeel from the position of the Chairman of the Management Board did not come hastily, but during our three-month cooperation we came to a conclusion that the organisation needs changes to move forward,” said Sten Soosaar, Chairman of Omniva’s Supervisory Board. Ansi Arumeel understands the Supervisory Boards’ decision.
“We had a shared vision about future postal services with the Supervisory Board, however the cooperation in the details did not go smoothly. Therefore, at this point, it is better to part ways.”
“We would like to thank Ansi for his contribution to the development of the company both as a Chairman of the Management Board and during the prior 15 years,” Soosaar said.
There is to be no immediate Interim Chair, but different members of the Management Board will take on the duties of the Chair. There is to be an open competition for hiring the new Chair, commencing later in the autumn.
