Using feedback from customers, Parcelforce Worldwide has improved its tracking functions on its website. Customers will also be able to use PayPal as a payment option under the new improvements for the Parcelforce system.
The new approach simplifies the way tracking information is displayed for the user on the www.parcelforce.com website. The former subsidiary of Royal Mail surveyed customers as to what they wanted most from their tracking information and this has been fed back into the newly designed page they use when tracking parcels. The new features include a new, easy-to-understand visual display status bar of where a parcel is in its journey.
Parcelforce Worldwide has now introduced PayPal as a payment option for people wishing to have goods picked up for delivery elsewhere. This widens their options and with PayPal’s convenience of use, significantly improves the payment process for the customer, and may well draw more people to using the the company over their rivals in a fiercely competitive market.
Gary Simpson, Managing Director of Parcelforce Worldwide, said: “ A full end-to-end tracking service is central to our offering as a business, which is why we’re happy to announce the improvements to the tracking information a customer sees when they visit our website. Parcelforce Worldwide is a very responsive business and we are committed to developing services to meet the changing demands of businesses, online retailers and other customers.”
In an increasingly competitive market, such improvement may well make the difference between customers clicking on to a rival and winning their business. As the marketplace gets ever more crowded, such new improvements can make a real difference to the final revenues of a company. It remains to be seen whether such tweaks to their website will draw more business for the company.
