In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, food and drink grocery specialists Postmates are introducing new drop-off options that will allow customers to specify how they would like to receive their deliveries.
The options now offered are to meet their Postmate at the door as normal, to meet outside on the road or to avoid all contact with the delivery staff and have deliveries dropped off at their door.
Postmates wrote on its website: “We know there are always people who, for health and other reasons, might prefer a non-contact delivery experience and we believe this will provide customers with that option.”
Logistics is being hit hard by the pandemic thanks to the economy having a wobble. There are opportunities to be taken with a little clear thought as ultimately last mile delivery could well be the solution to people’s reluctance to go out in public.
