PostNL and unions reach pay agreement

PostNL has come to agreement on the pay and conditions for its 18,500 delivery personnel. The Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) is between PostNL and the trade unions Bond van Post Personeel, FNV Publiek Belang and CNV Publieke Diensten.

In a statement issued today (12 March), PostNL said: “The agreement includes pay increases in five steps during the of duration of the CLA, 5 percent in total. It also includes a one-time bonus and the adjustment of the pension scheme to the tax requirements. During the next coming weeks the trade unions will submit this agreement in principle positively to their members.”

The new PostNL CLA is backdated to the 1st October 2017 and runs to the 30th September 2019. For the first three tiers of mail delivery staff, there will be salary increases of 1% in five steps (totalling a 5% increase). The increase dates are 1st October 2017, 1st Jan 18, 1st July 18, as well as the 1st Jan 19 and the 1st Sept 19. There will also be a one-time bonus to be paid in July 19.

While the unions and the employer agree, the members of the unions must now sign off on it. The results of the union meetings are expected to be in by the 6th of April 18 at the latest.
