The Chinese State Post Bureau has revealed data showing that the Chinese postal sector grew by 22.9% to USD $10.79 billion last month. Business volume hit 132.18 billion yuan (USD $18.82 billion), up 33.7%.
The Bureau showed that express delivery companies handled 5.25 billion parcels in July. This represents a 28.6% year-on-year growth. Total revenues also grew by 26.3% in the same period to around USD $8.6 billion.
In the first seven months, business revenue of the postal sector amounted to 528.71 billion yuan, up 21.3% year on year, the statement added.
