Hermes is to guarantee delivery of all online purchases being delivered by Christmas. This guarantee is in its third year and promises to refund the delivery cost to customers if goods aren’t delivered on time.
If a parcel is sent before 2359 on the 21st December, customers are promised delivery by the 25th. A minimum of one delivery attempt will be made, or the company will give the customer their money back. The guarantee has no exception for heavy weather so in the event of storms or snows, Hermes will still make an attempt to get the goods to recipients.
During last year’s peak season, Hermes processed 24.4 million parcels, 15% more than the previous year. This is set to increase in the 2015 season.
