Irish postal operator An Post has announced the launch of a new service called ReturnPal. This scheme is for online shoppers to make returns in Ireland and the UK.
According to a statement from An Post, the ReturnPal app is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It is free to download, and registration is free as well.
Under the ReturnPal scheme, online shoppers can arrange for their unwanted goods to be collected by An Post, who return them directly to the retailer from which they were ordered. Customers can leave the goods for collection in safe places if they are not going to be at home for the collection. The customer doesn’t need to print a label as the delivery operative willsupply the return label from the details that are provided through the app.
Where the online retailer offers free returns, the service will be free to use. Where this isn’t the case, customers will have to pay a standard fee of €4.50 per item.
