Royal Mail and union propose agreement

The CWU and Royal Mail have announced that their negotiators have finalised the details of a proposed deal of a proposed agreement over their discussions on pay, pensions, shorter working hours, culture and operational changes.

Royal Mail and the CWU released a joint statement today saying that the proposed agreement is to be considered by the CWU’s Postal Executive Committee next week.

According to the statement, another announcement will be made with the details of the final agreement ‘in due course’.

The deal has to be ratified in a ballot of CWU members, and also by the Board of Royal Mail.
