Royal Mail has launched a new parcel pick-up service called Parcel Collect.
Parcel Collect is starting in certain postcode areas in the West of England and is to be rolled out across the UK. The customer pays for their postage and collection via the Royal Mail app. The collection will cost £0.72 per parcel in addition to the postage. Pre-paid return items can be collected for £0.60 per parcel. The collection can take place from the front door or a designated safe place. Up to five parcels can be collected, six days a week, and the customer can book between six days in advance and midnight the day before collection.
Nick Landon, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Mail, said: “Parcel Collect makes it easier to access Royal Mail services than ever before. Whether you’re up against time and working from home, selling online or sending a gift to make someone’s day, Royal Mail Parcel Collect is here to help. The launch of Parcel Collect is part of our commitment to providing a great experience for our customers and delivering greater convenience.”
