Royal Mail has launched a new mobile app that will help its customers manage their deliveries more effectively. It is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
The Royal Mail parcel tracking app users can track their parcels via smartphone. Where a reference number has been given them they can check the progress of their deliveries and have it redelivered should they be out at the time of delivery. They can also have the parcel sent to a neighbour’s or a Post Office.
The app also allows people to enter a postcode to find the nearest Customer Service Point as well as a postcode finder for those trying to post to an incomplete address. There are to be more enhancements in the coming months too.
A spokesperson for Royal Mail said “The new Royal Mail app is helping recipients to manage their deliveries more effectively, providing all the information they need at their fingertips. We will be looking to load the app with even more functionality over the coming months. This latest enhancement is part of a programme of innovation making Royal Mail’s services more accessible, convenient and digitally enabled for all.”
