Screwfix Sprint reaches 40% of UK households

UK building trades retailer Screwfix’s Sprint 60-minute home delivery service now reaches 40% of the UK population and offers an average delivery time of 45 minutes. The service was launched in August 2021 following a trial in Bristol.

Tradespeople have found the service useful as they can have the parts and goods delivered to them without having to leave the site. Initially the Screwfix service has been rolled out to 30 cities across the UK, and has since reached 40% of the population.

The Screwfix Sprint service costs £5 per delivery and is available through the Screwfix app. It has also rolled out a very popular click-and-collect service in sites not offering delivery.

The news comes from parent company Kingfisher’s first quarter trading update that also showed that careful management of its supply chain has meant that product availability is very close to normal across all of its retail brands.
