ShipStation insures clients through Cover Genius

Shipping software specialist ShipStation has teamed up with global insurance-tech leader Cover Genius to provide products for ShipStation’s global network of client/merchants around the UK, Canada and Australia.

The products leverage customer-focused insurance solutions protecting merchants against loss, damage and re-shipment of their goods both domestically and internationally.

Under the deal between ShipStation and Cover Genius, the insurer will be the exclusive partner for multiple geographies out of the three nations. It will provide cover for millions of shipments annually. Where traditionally, merchants had to wait up to 30 days before making a claim they will now be able to make claims and receive payments instantly using an automated process for loss notification and declaration of value.
