SingPost changes service offerings

Singapore Post (SingPost) is to make changes and price increases for its postal service, effective 2 December.

The adjustments follow a full review of its entire range of products and services. According to SingPost the changes are to better meet the needs of its local community and to improve service standards.

There are to be two new service categories – Basic Package and Tracked Package.

Only letters and printed papers of under 500g will be accepted as a Basic Mail, that used to be known as Ordinary Mail. The rates remain unchanged. The postal operator will now limit its Registered Service (Singapore) to letters and papers.

Thanks to changes to Universal Postal Union agreed international mailing rates, international mail rates out of the country will now cost between $0.10 to $0.20 more.
