Parcel locker software company Smartmile and parcel locker hardware makers KEBA have installed their first outdoor parcel lockers in Finland.

The two companies plan to install outdoor parcel lockers across Europe in the coming year. The motivation for installing outdoor parcel lockers, that have to withstand heavy weather, is that retailers have limited indoor space and the outdoor parcel locker units can be larger than indoor units as a result.

Smartmile chose to work with KEBA thanks to the firm having significant experience in making reliable outdoor parcels.
