UK delivery network The APC is looking to take on more than 100 new members of staff for the upcoming peak season as demand for delivery services continues to soar after the pandemic.
All roles will be permanent and range from drivers and warehouse staff to customer services and IT positions.
This new comes in the face of government figures suggesting a collapse in UK employment by the largest amount in more than a decade.
The APC is still seeing significant growth, continuing a trend that has lated for several years. The company believes that volumes are set to grow in the coming peak period.
Jonathan Smith, Chief Executive of The APC, commented: “The last five months have seen unprecedented demand for our delivery services, as the whole team at The APC works tirelessly to ensure that packages are delivered across the country. This increased demand and continued SME customer growth, has led to a need for an even larger workforce as we approach peak season and continue to grow as a business.
“We are at a watershed moment in the industry with many of these new consumer shopping habits likely here to stay in turn creating longer-term opportunities within The APC and the logistics sector. We are committed not only to providing job opportunities to people in the local area, but also to give those that may not have previously considered a role in logistics, with the ability to build a career in an industry that is thriving.”
