The Delivery Group plans for 1bn item annual throughput

The Delivery Group, the e-commerce, mail and pallet specialist, is moving its Northwest operations to a new, £12 million service centre in Warrington.

The company has recently opened new sites in Bristol and Maidstone, and acquired ONEPOST earlier this year.

The new Delivery Group site is in Warrington;s Mountpark business park, and is nearly 138,000 square metres in size. It will employ around 200 staff. As part of this it has made a £1.5 million investment in sortation machinery in order to handle a projected 1 billion items per year around its eight UK sites.

Located at J8 M62, the service centre is just 3 miles from the M6/M62 interchange and midway between Manchester and Liverpool, providing access to a population of 2.5 million within a 30 minute drive time.
