UK e-commerce delivery company The Delivery Group has reported growth in excess of 25% in the last year.
The UK company has recently recruited ten new sales staff as part of its expansion plans. It was formed last March to combine the operations of Secured Mail and CMS Network.
Secured Mail is focused on e-commerce, retail and postal logistics while CMS is a Managed Mail service provider.
Mark Bigley, CEO of Secured Mail, said: “We’ve seen huge growth in the last year, particularly on our e-commerce side, driven both by the work of the team and our development in cloud technology, which has created a big injection in sales.”
Bigley added: “In particular, our investment in the creation of our own tailor-made barcode technology has paid dividends.
“Vision is our cloud software technology, a revolution in the industry which allows e-tailers and retailers alike to utilise their own unique barcodes to track through Secured Mail’s delivery network.
“This means we are able to speed up the process of delivery, enhance tracking and reduce costs for our clients, helping us offer an unrivalled service and propel new business growth.”
With the ten new appointments, the sales team at Secured Mail now total 23. These include experienced staff joining the e-commerce, international and bulk mail divisions including Claire Harrison from UPS, Michael Cahill from Whistl and Darren Powell with previous roles in UPS and Whistl and Rachel Jones from DX.
Phil Donlon has also joined as business development manager from Whistl and Graeme Macleod as senior business development manager from UK Mail.
Delivery companies with a good foothold in e-commerce stand to do well in the coming year as the sector is out competing the high street retail sector. The Delivery Group seems to be one of those companies riding the wave.
