Three new parcel sorting centres for PostNL

PostNL is building three new parcel sort centres that will begin operating in the second half of this year, ahead of the coming peak season.

The new centres will be located in Apeldoorn, Duivendrecht and Venlo.

According to PostNL, the postal operator has said that it started building the new parcel sorting centres in Venlo and Duivendrecht.

Liesbeth Kaashoek, Director Parcels and Logistics at PostNL, commented: ‘To strengthen our position as a leading logistics e-commerce company in the Benelux, we are currently investing more in our parcels infrastructure.

“These parcels sorting centres will help us respond even better to the huge growth we are seeing in e-commerce.

“We hope to stimulate the development of the regional e-commerce sector by servicing them even better. Both Venlo and Apeldoorn will also play an important role in improving the connection of our German customers with our network.”
