TNT wins passport contract from DX

FedEx owned TNT UK has agreed a three year deal with the Home Office to undertake passport deliveries. This is the contract that was recently lost by DX Group.

The contract begins in January, and follows a competitive tendering process where TNT UK outbid DX in May.

TNT UK has had its own problems including a cyber attack in 2017 that went onto damage business. Revenues in its 2017-18 results show that this impacted revenue by 8.4%.

A Home Office spokeswoman said, “A three year contract has been awarded to TNT UK for the secure delivery of passports and supporting documents after a rigorous, fair and open competition.

“TNT UK have a strong track record as a trusted delivery provider and we look forward to working with them.”
