Hermes UK has appointed Tony de Nunzio CBE as the non-executive Chairman to the Shareholder Board. De Nunzio comes with the remit of helping the company through the next stage of its growth and development.
Earlier this year, Hermes UK had a major investment from global private equity firm Advent International. It is investing heavily in growing its business nationwide.
De Nunzio has been in the retail industry for more than 25 years, and has track record as a finance professional, CEO and Chairman. Amongst previous roles he has been President and CEO of Asda, non-executive director of Alliance Boots and is currently Senior Independent Director of Dixons Carphone, a Senior Advisor to Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co and Chairman of the British Retail Consortium.
Commenting on his appointment, de Nunzio said: “I am delighted to join Martijn and his team at this exciting time for Hermes UK.
