Core Management Logistics and Canute Logistics have announced the launch of a new enterprise called TouchPoint that focuses on offering end-to-end retail logistics solutions.
According to a statement issued by Canute, “TouchPoint is a unique service offering importing, exporting, and eCommerce warehousing solutions combined with distribution. This new offering will strip out the need for additional suppliers for technology, eCommerce and warehousing, providing clients with a single point of contact to manage a seamless delivery which is flexible, scalable and adaptable.”
The logistics company has said that the partnership came about with Core Management Logistics when Canute was looking for warehousing for its client Office Depot. Canute was impressed with CML’s operations in Lutterworth.
David Emslie, Group Sales Director at the Canute Group, said: “We want to ensure that we can offer a comprehensive, straightforward solution for customers at all touch points in the supply chain, so partnering with CML and combining our collective expertise in the retail supply chain is a perfect solution.”
Whilst Canute Logistics and CML are continuing their respective operations, TouchPoint will be able to support both company’s retail clients, as well as new clients, across the supply chain.
TouchPoint will operate from CML’s Lutterworth site on Magna Business Park, supported by Canute Logistics’s 14 depots throughout the UK.
According to TouchPoint’s website, the depot network is “supplemented with a fleet of 1,300 vehicles, including specialist vehicles”.
TouchPoint said that its distribution offerings include:
Night time deliveries Stock placement and put away Cage and tote box operations Stock room replenishment Seasonal demand planning Returns management Stock transfers Dynamic and schedule services Final mile delivery Express next day delivery Source: Canute Logistics
