The Pallet Network (TPN) has signed high profile Markfield based Central Logistics Solutions (CLS) to cover Leicester’s postcodes. CLS has major clients including Amazon, Network Rail, Travis Perkins, Toyota and BMW, and has never joined a pallet network to date.
According to CLS the move to TPN was a carefully considered action made by the directors of the company.
“We narrowed our choices to four, and looked hard at customer reviews, KPI data, and network culture,” said CLS Director John Musumeci. “TPN was a clear winner for us because it has an ethos of quality rather than an aggressive sales strategy.
“I have very high standards for customer service because it ensures customer retention and TPN fit with our principles and business model,†he adds. “Their approach is relaxed, and unpressured either on Members or customers, but nonetheless extremely professional, committed to excellence, and supportive.”
Musumeci said he is “delighted” to have been given Leicester postcodes for TPN. “We have extensive experience of working with DHL, in particular supporting its NHS Supply Chain, so we are already used to working to high external standards.”
TPN MD Mark Duggan said: “CLS is an excellent firm and we are very pleased to welcome them to the network. Joining a network is a little like a marriage It’s important that your values and goals align from the start and we have that with CLS.”
