Supplier collaboration platform Tradeshift and procurement and sourcing application software developer Selectica have announced a global partnership to provide the Selectica SmartSource system on the Tradeshift platform.

Used by clients including the UK’s NHS, Tradeshift is a system that enables suppliers and end users to collaborate throughout their supply chain from orders to invoicing. SmartSource will enable Tradeshift to include reverse auctions, RFX, bidding and contract awarding.

The new addition to the system will improve supply chains around the world by more closely integrating working relationships right at the coal face. All interactions between customers and suppliers can now happen in one place.

The US and UK companies will serve a global customer base and this should help complex global supply chains from manufacturer to end user.
