UK regional carrier and member of the APC network Transplus has opened a new parcel depot in Andover, close to its old site. The new parcel hub gives the company 25% greater operational capacity, and supports its recent growth in driver numbers – that have also grown by 25%.
Transplus’ extra space will allow it to continue its overnight parcel collection and delivery offerings to local businesses. One of the company’s specialities is in fragile, security and liquid services and this allows the company’s SME clients to reach nationwide through the APC network.
Vinny Hughes, Director at Transplus Ltd, said: “Our new depot allows us to continue to serve our customers across the Andover and Sailsbury communities when SMEs continue to be of great value and importance. We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with local customers and are committed to supporting businesses that work tirelessly to keep the region’s entrepreneurial spirit alive.”
Jonathan Smith, Chief Executive at APC Overnight, said: “The new, larger depot will allow Transplus Ltd, a long standing member of The APC family, to continue to grow its relationships with SMEs across Hampshire. The ongoing national crisis has highlighted the strength and resilience of SMEs, and the sustained hard work of our colleagues at Transplus Ltd has enabled many local SMEs to continue to develop and thrive. We look forward to watching Transplus Ltd expand and support SMEs across Hampshire and the UK.”
