Turkey’s postal operator PTT is to launch a parcel locker network and drone delivery service later this year according to local media reports.
“We hope that the drone deliveries will start this year,” PTT Director General Kenan Bozgeyik told Anadolu Agency.
PTT is also launching a parcel locker network to tackle e-commerce delivery issues in the emerging economy.
Bozgeyik told the media customers will be able to access the parcels inside the Cargomat automatic lockers with a one time passcode.
Ankara has seen the first Cargomat parcels rolled out. Istanbul and Izmir are to be the next cities to receive them.
