UPS takes internal and external measures to support society

UPS, that handles 2% of the world’s logistics by volume, has taken measures to support society even while adapting to the environment to protect its staff and customers.

One of the roles is to support community COVID-19 sites following the While House Rapid-Response Taskforce request. “UPS is proud to provide logistics and transportation support to assist with the Administration’s special Coronavirus multi-city testing program.  We stand ready to assist to help keep our communities safe,” said David Abney, UPS Chairman and CEO.  “We are mobilizing our air and ground network planning and operations teams and we are prepared to fully support this urgent testing program.”

“We know our customers rely on UPS to maintain the flow of goods throughout their supply chains.  We are committed to rapidly adjusting our processes to ensure our employees, customers and communities can maintain normal daily life to the greatest extent possible while we adjust to the new realities of this pandemic,” said Abney.
