USPS to deploy Zebra Technologies handheld devices

The US Postal Service is to deploy 300,000 Zebra Technologies handheld computers for its staff to scan, track and trace parcels across its carrier network.

The Zebra Technologies TC77 touch screen computers will be deployed in the first half of next year.

The Android powered computers are being deployed to aid the postal operator optimise operations in the on-demand economy, providing customers added speed, accuracy and real-time tracking. As well as the hardware and software, Zebra Technologies is also to provide accessories, help desk support, maintenance, repairs and software development for future apps.
