Vinted Go to revolutionise C2C e-commerce delivery

Leading C2C secondhand fashion and lifestyle marketplace Vinted has launched a shipping brand called Vinted Go that will offer a range of new shipping services to its marketplace members and other businesses.

Currently Vinted has 65 million members across 16 markets in Europe and North America with more than 300 million used items listed on the marketplace.

As well as the new shipping services the company has seen changes to its leadership team. The Vinted Marketplace is now led by CEO Adam Jay, who joined the company earlier this year. Thomas Plantenga becomes Vinted Group CEO.

Jay has had roles at Expedia Group, and Travelport among others. He said, “Vinted is a fantastic company with strong foundations already in place and so much opportunity for further growth in pre-loved fashion and beyond. The secondhand market is in its infancy and Vinted has an important role to play in the rapid pivot to alternative ways of consuming. I am delighted to have joined such a profoundly mission-driven business.”

One of the main focuses of Vinted Go will be pick-up/drop-off locations as a more carbon-efficient means of delivery. Currently Vinted works with 43 carriers and 220,000 PUDO points across Europe. It will soon roll out a network of own-branded parcel lockers in Paris, which will have parcels delivered to them by electric vans. It is also developing a new digital shipping platform that will bring together and optimise third party carrier and infrastructure for many business. This is to be launched next month. Finally it is addressing issues around cross-border shipping between EU member countries and the UK to better enable cross-border e-commerce.
