Impressed with the way the machines work, retail giant Walmart is to install 500 Cleveron PackRobot parcel lockers at more than 500 stores around the US.

The original plans, announced in July, were to install 100 nationwide and then to build from there. It is clear that the Board of Walmart are impressed with the way they operate as this has gone up five fold.

In an article published by Business Insider and reproduced on Cleveron’s website, JP Suarez, Walmart’s vice president of real estate, was quoted as saying: “Think of this as an ATM for parcel pickup.

“We’re putting 500 of these towers in our stores, we love them.”
