Whistl formally joins Global Parcel Alliance

Independent mail and parcel company Whistl has become the first UK member of the Global Parcel Alliance (GPA) that was recently launched at a ceremony in China.

GPA has been two years in development, and aims to provide an international parcel service network covering all major global markets. It is led by the Chinese courier YTO Express and includes more than 50 courier and parcel members from 25 countries around the world.

YTO chairman Yu Weijiao, said of the GPA: “A major goal of the alliance would be to standardise processes for the growing volume of cross-border deliveries.”

Nick Wells, Whistl CEO said: “Our membership of the GPA underlines our commitment to building our presence in the global post and parcel market.  Being the first UK member of the group also highlights our commitment to provide our customers with the latest, most efficient, ways to trade internationally.”
