Yodel appoints director of international services

Jayne James is to be director of international services at UK delivery company Yodel.

The new appointment comes after Yodel announced the opening of its first international offices in Chengdu China last year.

James has worked in the international mail, express parcels and supply chain for more than 25 years. Her last role was at Deutsche Post DHL Group where she focused on growing its cross-border e-commerce to Europe and America. Critically for Yodel, James has also led projects offering e-commerce solutions to Chinese consolidators.

Jayne will report into Yodel’s chief commercial officer, Sam Holden, and will work alongside Duncan Lee, Yodel’s director of international business development.

Sam Holden, chief commercial officer at Yodel, commented: “As e-commerce becomes increasingly global, retailers need logistics partners that can deliver outstanding experiences to customers around the world. Jayne has a proven track record in global logistics and she and Duncan are ideally placed to develop and deliver our global plans and support Yodel’s growth in this area.”

Jayne James commented: “I am delighted to be joining Yodel, to build on the excellent work being developed by the team. It’s an exciting time for the business and I look forward to expanding our offering to support our retail partners’ international ambitions.”
