Zalando and Poste Italiane to improve returns options

European fashion and lifestyle e-retailer Zalando is working with Poste Italiane to make returns easier in Italy.

Zalando customers can return their goods through more than 12,000 Post Italiane post offices as well as the Punto Poste network – more than 3,000 affiliated tobacconists, parcel lockers and stores.

Large scale research suggests that 70% of Italian shoppers consider ease of return a key factor in online shopping decisions. This is why Zalando is working with the postal operator and also offers a home pick-up solution.

When piloting the post-office-returns option some 50% of shoppers chose it over other returns options. The company has said that as part of a wider choice of returns so the customer can more easily arrange a return.
