Chinese parcels behemoth ZTO Express has announced the appointment of Tsun-Ming ‘Daniel’ Kao as an independent director on their board.
Kao is to replace Baixi Lan, who resigned as director of ZTO Express but will remain in post as ZTO general manager of operations in Beijing.
Kao has more than sixteen years of experience with leading e-commerce and internet firms in the US and China. His most recent post was chief technology officer at Vipshop from 2012 to 2016, and before that he was the director of site operations and quality engineering at global marketplace giant eBay.
In addition, ZTO Express announced the appointment of Charles Huang as member of the audit committee, replacing Maison Lai. Frank Zhen is to be the chairman of the nominating and governance committee, replacing Maison Lai as well. Frank Zhen Wei is to be the member of the compensation committee, replacing Jianfa Lai.
