Cardenas offers food delivery via Amazon website and app

California based Cardenas Markets has begun offering two-hour delivery in a partnership with Amazon. The offer begins in select communities in California and Nevada with plans for further roll-out as time goes on.

Cardenas Markets customers who want two-hour delivery can make their orders via the Amazon app or website.

There are plans to expand the offer in the coming months. It is worth noting that Cardenas Markets already works with a number of other fast-delivery companies including Instacart, DoorDash, Shipt and Uber Eats.

The retailer has 65 supermarkets in Arizona, California and Nevada under a number of different brand names. With the tie up with Amazon, it joins a select few outside grocery chains currently offering their goods that are sold and fulfilled through the Amazon website and network.

At the same time, Amazon offers groceries through its own brands Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market, which compete directly with the firms using its fulfilment service.
