CitySprint announces seasonal recruitment drive

CitySprint, the UK same-day delivery firm, has announced it is taking on more than 1000 temporary couriers ahead of the coming delivery peak season.

The temporary drivers will join the courier’s fleet of more than 3500 couriers across the UK. They will support the high growth sectors such as e-commerce and food delivery, supporting the company in providing a smooth service during the festive season.

Patrick Gallagher, CEO, CitySprint, commented: “Peak season is one of the most demanding times of the year for our customers, with delivery volumes increasing significantly both for CitySprint and our retail brand, On the dot. We are committed to providing each of our clients with a first-class service all year round, which is why we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure our fleet is prepared to face anything that comes our way.”

The peak season delivery recruitment drive is well under way with Royal Mail, UPS and other major players having already made announcements around their temporary worker recruitment requirements. With e-commerce set for double digit growth even in the uncertain times of today, it seems that the peak season recruitment drives are for every larger numbers of people, as exhibited by CitySprint this year.
